Anstey Energy provides bespoke energy advice for commercial and domestic properties. Our assessment involves an in-depth analysis of a property’s energy efficiency beyond that normally covered in an EPC. The onsite assessment involves:
- an inspection of your property establishing lighting, heating and insulation characteristics
- an investigation of the occupant’s energy use – through questioning, analysing energy bills and exploring the occupant’s heating and power concerns
- thermal imaging, which enables us to identify areas of heat loss inside and outside the property
- borescope inspections of cavity walls and voids to establish if interior insulation is present
Following an inspection a report will be produced summarising our findings. The report will include:
- low cost and no cost measures as well as behaviour change ideas to maximise your energy savings
- more substantial changes involving investment in insulation, glazing, renewables or other low carbon technologies
- solutions to occupants’ specific heating and power usage concerns
- quantification of energy saving recommendations with payback periods
- identify potential funding streams for substantial changes
- identify suppliers who would be able to implement changes, using a vetting process based on cost, locality and quality
- where requested, a period of energy consumption monitoring can take place following the assessment to highlight unexpected consumption patterns, identify wastage and to ensure savings are realised and targets are set and met.
