Energy Performance Certificates are required by law whenever a property is sold or let, and show, on a scale from A to G, how energy efficient the property is. A is the most highly energy efficient property and G is the least energy efficient. Newer homes often have a higher rating, and the average rating in the UK at the moment is D. The certificate is valid for 10 years, and as well as giving you a summary of estimated energy costs and factors that influence energy efficiency, will also include recommendations for measures that could make the property more energy efficient. Anstey Energy are now qualified to provide commercial EPCs for both Level 3 and Level 4 premises.
Display Energy Certificates are required for public buildings greater than 250 sqm or where they are voluntarily requested.
